koko reads every message.

koko is a small bird who lives in your iphone. when you scroll too long on the apps you choose, he shows up. no blocker, no lecture, no shame. he just looks at you, asks if you meant to keep scrolling, and shows you the way out.

hell no. red (the angry birds one) is a cardinal. koko is a robin. different species. different vibe. red is angry. koko is smug. red gets shot out of a slingshot. koko just looks at you until you put the phone down.

no. you can use any app you want, any time. koko only shows up after you scroll on a chosen app for too long (default: 3 minutes within the hour, you can adjust 1 to 30 minutes per app).

screen time has two modes: yesterday’s report, or a hard lock once you hit a daily limit. reports come too late to change anything in the moment. limits get tapped through or bypassed within a week. kokopi shows up while you scroll, doesn’t block, just looks at you and gives you a choice.

blockers say no. kokopi asks “are you sure?” then gives you a button that says yes. you stay in control. that’s the whole point: friction at the moment of choice, without taking the choice away.

yes. same idea, a pause before you get lost in an app. the pause is different. one sec makes you take a breath and wait. koko just shows up, and you pick. close the app, or take a few more minutes. kokopi is $7.99 once. one sec is $19.99 a year, or $99.99 for life. one sec also runs on android and desktop, kokopi is iphone only for now.

a 2023 peer-reviewed study found this kind of intervention cut app opens by about 57%. koko works the same way, a gentle nudge that breaks the autopilot before you notice you’re in it.

free for 7 days. then you pay once. $7.99 (the price adjusts to your country). no upsells, unlimited apps, all updates included for life. no subscription bullshit.

7 days free. on day 8, koko swaps the “i need a minute” button for a paywall pitch. pay once and he keeps showing up for life. don’t pay and he stops.

apple gives you a full refund within 14 days, no forms, no questions. settings → apple id → media & purchases → view account → purchase history → request refund.

instagram, tiktok, x, reddit, youtube, snapchat, and any other app on your phone. you pick from a curated list, then apple’s family controls picker confirms.

not yet. we started on iOS, it’s what makes koko possible without a backend. an android version is in the works, we’re aiming to launch by the end of the year.

a little, anonymously. kokopi collects usage analytics through posthog (hosted in the EU): counts and app events like which setup steps you reach and how often koko showed up. no account, no name, nothing tied back to you, and nothing about what you scroll. apple’s app privacy label lists it as “usage data”, not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.

no. kokopi sees that you’ve been on instagram, not what you’re looking at. the timing is all that matters for the intervention.

yes. koko never leaves. that’s the point. most screen time apps work for two weeks, then you stop opening them and they stop working. koko shows up every time you cross the threshold. for life.

after you install, koko walks you through it. screen time permission, notification permission, pick your apps. takes about 90 seconds.

email hi@kokopi.app. koko reads every message. usually replies within a day.
